1. Who we are
No2Dowry ("we", "us") operates the No2Dowry matrimony platform. We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described here. For privacy questions, contact privacy@no2dowry.com.
2. Data we collect
Account data (phone number, email, social IDs). Profile data you provide (name, age, gender, city, religion, community, education, occupation, photos, video intro, preferences). Verification data (a selfie, used only to confirm identity and deleted after review). Usage and device data (analytics events, IP address, approximate location).
3. How we use it
To create and verify your account; to power matrimony matching; to keep the community safe (the dowry/harassment shield and moderation); to send service messages; and, with your consent, product updates. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Legal basis & consent
We process personal data based on the consent you provide at collection and to deliver the service you request, consistent with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules.
5. Sharing
We share data with processors that help us operate (hosting, media storage, communications) under contract, and with authorities where legally required. We never sell your data.
6. Sensitive data
Selfies are treated as sensitive and are deleted after identity review. Religion and community are optional and used only for matching you choose to enable.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, and delete your data, and withdraw consent. Use in-app controls or email privacy@no2dowry.com. See our Data Deletion page.
8. Retention
We keep data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations (for example, retaining a profile creator's IP address for the period required for matrimonial platforms).
9. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and minimisation. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you and the authorities of any breach as required by law.
10. Children
No2Dowry is only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly allow minors.
